Citrus fruits are high in vitamin C ,which is a powerful antioxidant that protects the body from damaging free radicals. They also contain compounds called flavonoids that protect you against diseases like cancer and heart disease. Lastly vitamin C makes collagen, which helps keep bones, skin and joints firm and strong. Drinking the variety of citrus fruits that are in this smoothie regularly will keep your body in top fighting form!
Did you know: Vitamin C in Citrus fruits enhances the absorption of iron in food by binding to the iron in the digestive tract which then gets absorbed by the body together.

Tropical Citrus Twist Recipe Smoothie Recipe
Yields 2 glasses
- 2x oranges
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1x banana
- Half Grapefruit
- Tbs Sunflower seeds
- Glass Coconut water
- Handful of Ice
- Put all the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth
- Pour into a glass and enjoy!
